Day 176 – January 18th 2008

The Christmas period was a traumatic time for myself and family.  We lost one of out oldest and dearest friends, who died on the 20th December.  It was a difficult time for us, and I personally went through some depression.  My health seemed of secondary importance, and I let myself go.  On 16th January, I started back at my healthier lifestyle, but I have lost a lot of ground.  Here are my stats as of today:

Weight – 106.8 Kg (234.96 lb)
Fat Mass – 34.2 Kg (75.24 lb)
Weight Loss To Date: 7.7 Kg (16.94lb)
Blood Pressure – Not measured
Resting Heart Rate – Not measured

The reason behind my friends death was his lifestyle.  Seems kind of ironic that it was his high blood pressure that started me off on this makeover in the first place.  A lifetime of over-indulgence has taken its toll on his body, and his heart simply stopped.

This loss, while painful, will be the motivation I need to gt back to where I was, and lose even more.

Between November 23rd and January 18th, I put on 3 Kg (6.6 lb).

This week, I have started back at my walks, and am now also going swimming for 45 minutes, three times a day.  Early next week I’ll be going back to the gym as well.  All of this, plus a healthy lifestyle.  Today, I am currently 3 days into my 3rd liver and gall bladder detox.

I’ll keep you informed on my renewed progress..

About Andy

Andy writes for a number of health related sites but has always been fascinated by alternative medicine and home remedies. His deep interests in nature and the body's innate ability to heal itself (given the right condition) have lead him to a pivotal time in his life - and so, Holistic Home Fitness was born. While it's relatively new at the moment, Andy wants to build this site into a huge reference site for a more holistic approach to health and fitness.
